Welcome to my kitchen. Today, we’re going to be making lemon pancakes. I’m just going to put one cup of the sour cream in the bowl. Okay, and now I want to melt my butter, so what I’m going to do is place it in my cream for just a few seconds probably about 10, so I’m going to add that in with my sour cream.
Now, I’m going to add one egg, Now, we’re going to get our lemon juice, so what I’ve done here is I put a little strainer on top of my measuring cup because I don’t want to get any seeds in our pancakes. That won’t taste very good. So, basically I use three lemons and here we are we’re a half cup, so I’m going to add the lemon juice. We’re going to give it a good mix.
Okay, now we’re going to add our dry ingredients. We’re going to go with one cup of the self rising flour and we’re going to add two tablespoons of sugar. What we’re going to do now is I don’t want to beat it to much. I want to just mix it up, so I’m just going to grab the spoon. We don’t want to over mix it basically, so just get it all to a nice pancake consistency.
I’m going to now get my lemon rind. Now, I’m going to do for that is grate my wash lemon. We need one tablespoon. We can now add that in and we’re going to mix that up. It’s perfect, so we’re about ready to heat our griddle.
Our T-Fal family griddle. It’s scratch proof you can use any sort of utensils on it metal or plastic that’s why I’m going to be using a metal utensil today. So, I’m just going to put my oven on my stove actually on about a medium heat. We’re going to do like about a silver dollar size like a little dollop. And this is great because you can cook for a large group of people, family, nice Sunday brunch. This griddle pan is wonderful.
Now, we’re going to cook this for about three to four minutes on each side. Okay, I’m starting to see little bubbles form, so I’m going to turn them over. See how it just glides rid off. It’s perfect because it’s non-stick.
The greatest thing about the T-Fal family griddle is that there is no mess. I mean, literally I can just wipe this with a paper towel, a dry paper towel and it’s ready for next time. I love that. I hate cleaning and I have to do a lot of it because my husband doesn’t help me.
That’s really good. It’s almost like a dessert. It’s delicious.
