How to Make Lined Wedding Invitation Envelopes

Lined envelopes are really simple way to dress up your wedding invitation and making them your self as not as difficult as it may seem.

Your first step is to make a template for the liner. Open up an envelope from a stock of envelopes that you have and place it on the table. The easiest way is to start with one of the envelopes you’re actually going to line.

Using a straight edge in art knife trim off 1/8 of an inch from each side of the envelope, make sure to put something underneath the papers that you did not damage your tabletop. Also, be sure to use proper care with a sharp blade.

Then cut off the edges of flap that have the adhesive. Using this template you can cut as many additional liners as you need. If you plan to cut one at a time you may also want to cut a template from cardstock. If you want to create a large quantity I would recommend using a local printer to cut your sheets. Once the liners have been properly cut, you can begin to insert them into the envelopes.
