How to Make Marble Magnets and Picture Marbles

Hi. Welcome to Craftster Quickies where we show you fast, easy and great looking projects you can make in just a matter of minutes. I am Pam and today we’re going to be crafting with glass marbles. I am going to show you how to make a charm bracelet but the possibilities are endless with these little guys. The materials you will need are; clear flat glass marbles. I found this at the Dollar Store; you can also find them at the craft store. Images—you can use any image you want. Remember that will be magnified through the glass. Today I am using scrap book paper but you can use comic books, pictures, clip arts, just about anything. A half inch circular hole punch; glue. I am using two types of glue today, the first being a glue that dries clear and it touch the image the marble and the other being an Industrial Strength Glue which we will use to hold the marble to the bracelet. You can find both at your local craft store. Black Findings. I am using a blank charm bracelet today but also there are blank pins and blank burettes. So common household items that you’ll need are scissors and a paint brush, don’t forget your blank piece of paper. I have a friend who has a birthday coming up soon and she loves robot, so I found this cute robot paper for her and I’m going to make her a charm bracelet. I am going to take my hole punch and hold it upside down so I can see that image that I’m actually using. This is a cute little puppy, someone needs him and then maybe one of these. Next, you want top grab your blank piece of paper and hole punch, of few holes. We’ll get back to what we’re going to use this for. Next, I’m going to take my clear drying glue; just a dub and put it on my marble. Then I’m going take my image, put it on m y marble like so. Turn it over and keep pressing down to get out any air bubbles. Once your image is dry, you have your little marble like this, I take little bit of my clear drying glue, put a blank piece of paper on the back, that prevents ripping and tearing of my image. Now let that sit for a little while until it dries. Now that my images are dyer, we’re going arrange my bracelet and see I want them to look. Because this is a robot bracelet, I a want a little bit of metal shining thought. Now I am going take my Industrial Strength Glue, put a little bit on a piece of paper, get a toothpick and attach my images. You usually use a little dub. There, let my Industrial Strength Glue dry for 24 hours and my bracelet is finished. It’s a perfect robot bracelet. Now, I am going to make a pin to match my bracelet. I already have my image cut out and glued, so to see, I take my Industrial Strength Glue, put a little bit on my pin and let that sit for 24 hours. There is my completed bracelet and pin.
