How to Make Marinara Rice Cake Snack
Julieanna: Hi Jon and Julieanna here we are back with the super simple snack cerial part two.
Jon: Part two.
Julieanna: The time we are going to make something that I use to make for like in college when I want to get quick snack and looks girls so addicting I love this so much just it’s like a parmesan kind of thing without the parmesan so it’s a healthy have a like a two parmesan we call. I love it. Okay.
So, it’s so simple, I love eating called corn thins. They are like rice but they are corn and they’re really skinny and they have really good texture and it they hold different well. So you could use a rice cake or a cracker but I like, I’m using cornstarch for today.
So, all you do is you take the corn pin and I then slice up a big block of tofu plain and simple and you know I’m going to do with second. First I’m going to take I just took oil free marinara sauce and heat it up and grill it fro a few seconds just to get it warm. You take marinara sauce spread them there, do you like marinara sauce.
Jon: Yeah, I like this.
Julieanna: Versatile?
Jon: Yes.
Julieanna: Like that and then we have a little bit basil just to add that and all that extra flavor and the green to it, I want to have green as often as you possibly can. And man, you just take the tofu and place it right on top just like cheese like you would do with cheese.
Jon: It looks great.
Julieanna: Right, is it?
Jon: Simple.
Julieanna: You want to try it?
Jon: Yes, I’m going to try while you make your one.
Julieanna: Okay, I’m crossing my finger you like it—Tofu for Jon.
Jon: This is good; this is very good, yeah.
Julieanna: Yeah, can I know your be honest.
Jon: It’s good.
Julieanna: It is right? I keep doing it like I crave it.
Jon: So this I s totally another healthy snack that you guys have at home if you always wonder what I do I get for a snack, oh my gosh this I sit, this is what you miss.
Julieanna: And you store marinara sauce it stays forever, you know and you could have a block of tofu.
Jon: It’s simple, quick, and easy. I mean everything that you’re looking for is right here. Now we’ll also pair this up with a little bit of wine with you this.
Julieanna: My favorite thing.
Jon: Now, can you tells us a little bit about the benefits because I know we all have social situations where we need to go out and keep our drinks so tell us a little about why wine is going to be your better option.
Julieanna: And it’s the back up and it can do better than choosing and it’s full of, it’s got biochemical it has resveratrol, not as hard to thing super snack syrup but super simple snack here but it got anti oxidants in there and it also have a lot less calorie if you’re going to have like an alcohol drink that’s fully sugar because it’s just fermented grapes.
Jon: Right.
Julieanna: And that tastes really good.
