Ken Dolan: Okay, we have some thumbs up and some thumbs down ideas for making a few extra bucks. Who could – we’ve some great ideas when someone wants to really, really avoid. Who couldn’t use a few extra bucks? Daria Dolan: Exactly. Ken Dolan: Alright what is the first one? Daria Dolan: Medical billing kits. Ken Dolan: Oh yeah. Daria Dolan: Not good, tough, cause most offices have either have send it out, contracted out to have it done or they do with themselves. They don’t need you trying to get in the door and sell them medical billing health. Ken Dolan: Don’t waste your money, here’s another one—elderly transportation. Taking seniors—this is a grave one I’m not kidding. Daria Dolan: The doctor, hair dressers Ken Dolan: Absolutely one thing that senior citizens, we’re talking older senior citizens, one thing they love and relish and I hope to get to be at that age myself is independence. Elderly transportation—major thumbs up. Daria Dolan: Absolutely. Here’s one because I love to needle point and do all sorts of, you know hands stuff. Ken Dolan: She does that. Daria Dolan: Do crafts at home, earn big bucks. Ken Dolan: Forget it, an awful lot of people are being taken, just come in, give us a bunch of money, we’ll send you a bunch of parts and things and you can put them together. You know the biggest complaint? You don’t have seen this, specifically once I saw the construction that you put in together the craft does not meet our level of quality. So we cannot accept it, thank you! Daria Dolan: How about house sitting? Pet sitting? Baby Sitting? Ken Dolan: I like that one, what do you think? Thumbs up. Daria Dolan: That’s a good one. Ken Dolan: People are busy, often two-income families. Daria Dolan: Traveling? Ken Dolan: And one is running around, business travel. The pet must be taken care of, all the kids too, yeah, that’s right . We like that idea. Daria Dolan: If you are good with computers, what about some web design. You know many companies have need but no expertise in house. Ken Dolan: They don’t know where to go. Thumbs up web design, and it’s not that hard to learn and it is a wonderful business. We do a lot of consulting will small businesses across America, “I need someone to help with my website”. I’ve heard it a hundred times, thumbs up. Daria Dolan: Thumbs up. Ken Dolan: This next one’s mine, relates to that—desktop publishing. Yes or no? Daria Dolan: Oh yeah though it’s good and it doesn’t mean you have to be an author. Ken Dolan: Pay attention here when I’m here will you please, because again small businesses, they need a brochure, they need cell sheets, they need stuff and they simply don’t have the expertise and certainly don’t have the line to hire somebody fulltime. Desktop publishing, I’m telling you, it’s a good one. Daria Dolan: And this one I cannot believe is still around and that people are falling for it. Earn 25 bucks an hour, earn $3000, $5000 a month stuffing all— Ken Dolan: Oh no, get out of here. Is that still around? Daria Dolan: Oh my gosh it’s still out there. Ken Dolan: You know what I saw? You’re going to laugh—well, when people are hurt and they almost believe almost anything, two dollars a piece. Yeah okay envelope stuffing—forget it. Daria Dolan: Personal shopper for busy people. Ken Dolan: I like it. Daria Dolan: They may not need your services as often or as long but personal shoppers for busy people. Ken Dolan: We like that a lot. These are great. Daria Dolan: Check out the executive offices in your areas. Ken Dolan: That’s a good one. Here’s one I really, really hate! Buy a list of companies that really need home workers to do all sorts of stuff. Forget it, if can want to work— Daria Dolan: The question money to start a business to do a job that some other company is sending you the stuff to do, it’s probably a scam to begin with. Ken Dolan: How about a personal organizer? Daria Dolan: Personal organizer is great, I’m sending one to you because I’m tired of doing it for free. Ken Dolan: Daria, that is not part of this video. Daria Dolan: Oh okay. Ken Dolan: No but it is true, people are busy—closets, homes, garages. We had actually floor organizer and really helped to organize everything, really worked nicely. One I love, you tell me you may not like it or not—tutoring. Because I’m finding in awful lot of schools system around America are really, not really good. So if you have an expertise I’m going to be surprised if you don’t call a local school, call a vocational technical center. If you’ve got an expertise to share, there are lot of people who will probably like it. Daria Dolan: Another money making idea you’ll see ads for this all of the time. Ken Dolan: No, I know that but there are some companies that are okay and there are some companies that are not. I feel like better going to a local jeweler with whom I’ve done business or might do business in the future to get a real honest to goodness appraisal.
