Hi, this is PC Roger, today I want to talk about freedom, not the kind of freedom of you celebrating later this week with fireworks but the kind of freedom that gives you the go to your work where and when you want to work. As a cell phone play computer consultant, I spent the last 20-years or so living on the end of the year young. Always ready for a job when a client calls with a problem thus preventing their business from doing what it does to make a profit. I work long hours and put a lot of miles in my vehicles.
As you have noticed two things have happened, first gas prices have gone up. I used to buy a lot of gas for 99 cents, not anymore and that made all that driving a little more expensive as those prices at $4.00 last summer. Second thing that has happened is I have gotten older and less teller on the bad weather construction and idiots talking or texting on their phone while attempting to drive. So in the last couple of years I have made two priorities. One is to perform as much off line work remotely as possible and I have a website. Another video is dedicated to working remotely from home or from a vacation house or whatever.
Two, I derive more of my income from working online, working from home in shorts and a t-shirt like I have on now and I’ll spare you the legs and having the freedom to go on vacation and even earn money while I sleep. Waking up with money in that inbox as they say. Well I’ve done the suit and tie world, sweating like a pig in an over crowded hot commuter train in the middle of August and I have ruined more than one pair of pants falling under a desk to fix a pc.
The time has come for me to start changing that and I have the tools and the know how to do it. The question is is it time for you to start changing what where and when you do what you do to earn a living.
