Make your own organic surf wax
Bee's wax, coconut oil, bean can, plastic cup for mould, cup for sap collection, staple gun, hatchet.
Step: 1 Tap a pine tree using a hatchet cut upward and downward on a small area of the trunk find old plastic cup and tear the top off staple cup edge below your patch. This doesn't hurt the tree but be sure to use your own tree. Or your neighbors will be pissed. We know 24-48 hours later you'll have some sap.
Step 2: Combine ingredients; old bean can hack your bee's wax into small chunks, combine ingredients into double boiler, cool water mix: 4 parts bee's wax, 1 part coconut oil, 1 part pine resin, heat and stir until mix is liquefied.
Step 3: Pour wax, pour into old plastic containers; an hour later...
Step 4: Wax up, Hansen 50/50 circa 1966, super sticky and smells good too, go surf!
Special thanks to the pine tree that donated its blood in the making of this wax.
