Thanks for stopping by fixmyrecipe.com. Chef Billy Parisi here. Our new fix goes to Karma of Detroit, Michigan. Having a lot of trouble making Pignolata, her procedure is all messed up. Don’t worry Karma, we’ve got you covered right here.
Karma the first step we need to do is add our eggs into our flour and knead our dough. It does take a few minutes to knead our dough. You want to make sure it’s not too sticky. Now, we’re going to roll it into eight to ten smaller balls.
Alright Miss Karma, what we want to do now is roll each individual ball out to like a really thin rope. Then cut with a really sharp knife into 13 small pieces and when you roll them, they want to be about the size of a marble.
Now we need to add some vegetable oil into our frying pan. Add in these balls. Be sure not to overcrowd. Take your time and also, don’t get to dry with the paper towel.
Alright you can see our nice Pignolata balls are perfectly fried off and set to the side. Now on a hot skillet, we’d want to add in some honey and wait until it bubbles. Once that happens, take it off the heat, add in our Pignolata balls, coat them really nice with that honey, let them cool before we plate it up.
And you cannot forget to sprinkle powdered sugar and shaved chocolate.
Karma, this was so easy and so fun to make. Don’t worry you can do this. Just make sure when you’re frying them that you space them out so nice that they just don’t stick together. That’s not good. Don’t forget to add the powdered sugar and you should be just fine. These are so good.
Karma once again, thank you so much for writing this in, I really appreciate it. I know the whole camera crew’s going to appreciate it because we have an awesome dessert.
Come back tomorrow and see our new featured fix of the day.
