If you’re looking for an easy webbing to make triple pinch pleat drapes then I have got the product for you. Hi my name is Jennifer Thoden with SewingWindowTreatments.com and I’m going to introduce you to a product that’s called Deep-Pleat Tape. This tape can be found at our store DraperySewingSupplies.com and it is the easiest thing to use when making a Triple Pinch Pleats. Let me show you the results, I have a part of me sample that I’ve used to make the pleats as you can see they are very clean triple pinched pleats with a nice three inched shape, very, very standard and very nice.
Now the nice thing about the Deep-Pleat Tape is that it’s customizable. First of all there are no whole cords that you would think of a new thinkable pleating tape where you’ve sewed on and pull the cords. These are use with our four palm draper clips. So I hold up here and these are also found at the website your DraperySewingSupplies.com but what’s great about this, is that you insert this into this pockets in the back of this tape and it forms this triple pinched pleats and then you also of course have to look that you would then hang our drapes onto your hardware. The really great thing about this is that you can customize this to anything you want.
So not only do you have not to worry about sewing your pinch pleats but it can be a little overwhelming for some people. It form those pleats really simply by starting this four hole hook into this pockets of this tape but also you can customize how close together or fall apart you want your pleats to be to create the fullness that you need.
Now if you need a little help, figuring it out how far apart you want your pleats to be to get to the width that you desire after pleating your panel. There’s a calculator just for about on SewingWindowTreatments.com and also on DraperySewingSupplies.com. It’s a calculator that will allow you to enter in your flat panel that sew and what you want it to be once pleated and its going to show you the ideal pleat size and space size. How much fabric you need for your pleat and how the space in between.
Now you should know that if you were to use just every other pocket in the four front look, the pleat size is naturally 5 and a half inches for this product. You can also make these pleats deeper if you’re going to take a fabric and use one over every two pockets and make deeper pleats. You can space your pleats further apart close it together, this is completely customizable and it’s so nice because it just hooks and installed it into the back pockets. So if you make a mistake or you decide that you need to pleats closer together and it’s no trouble at all to pull out the hook and start it all over again.
So this is my favorite product by far by creating triple pinched pleats. In my opinion there is no other easy way to do it. So this is a really great product and I encourage you to try and then look at it. So I’m going to show you step by step on how to use these products and then you are free to explore our DrayperSewingSupplies.com and see if this product is for you.
