KittyKill Pam: Hi, welcome to Craftster Quickies where we show you fast, easy, and great looking projects you can make in just a matter of minutes.
My name is Pam and today I am going to show you how to make plant markers. It's a great way to recycle your silver wear and make you garden all fancy. The material that we'll need today are a steel stamping set like the kind you get it on hardware store a not in a regular craft store, a hammer, a piece of cloth or an old towel, a permanent magic marker, ultra fine steel wool, and of course spoons. And the last thing you need is something very hard like a concrete surface. Now I am going to get my stuff and get started.
The first thing you want to do is flatten your spoon. Take you spoon and put it on your towel with the round side up and start hammering, this is a great way to get rid of frustrations, be careful don't hammer your hand lets check on the spoon and see if its flat yet, just a few minutes more. Let see if it's ready. That baby is as flat as a pancake, now lets started on the letters. I am going to spell out the word yummy and put in my garden so the first thing I am going to do is take my permanent magic marker and mark the letters where they go on the spoon, there.
Now I am going to stamp my letters I already put my letters out of my set and start with the middle letter and work your way out, I am going to do yummy so my middle letter is M. place it on the X. Now on to my next letter, make sure that your letters are turned the right way otherwise you are going to have a mixed up word and also you have to really hit these hard. So let your frustration out and just whack it hard, there I am finished with my letters. So now I'll take my permanent magic marker again and color in where the letters are, like so.
Make sure you really get down into the crevasse of the letters because this is stain in your letters and will make them stand out more. Now take your steel wool and just buff off the ink, there you go it's all done and ready for the garden, yummy.
These plant markers are great way to spruce up your garden and like that you know what exactly what you are planted. This is Pam with Craftster Quickies. See you next time.
