Erik: Hey everyone and welcome to a special episode of backyard FX. Why is it special, because I am not making it? That is right. We received the user submitted tutorial that was so awesome we had to show everyone. I would like to introduce Raleigh’s eye rip tutorial. He gives you some great information and a bad ass test film.

Raleigh: Hey there Indy Mogul this is Raleigh from pujoproductions.net I want to congratulate you guys for becoming 1-year old. You guys helped me out in the past creating a giant hamburger costume, a blood cannon and a fake head. So I am going to show you how to create an eye rip effect like in kill bill.
Now a few months ago Wesley had a tutorial on how to make an eyeball that can be ripped out. I followed his directions low behold and worked out better than I imagined.
I got this. here is what you need, liquid latex, a fake styrofoam head, red paint, flesh and white color paint, a gum ball or a white ping pong ball. If all goes well it should cost you about $20 to $30.
Now first you need to paint your styrofoam head flesh tone and cover it with liquid latex, self explanatory so I do not think you need me to show you how.
The second step is deep the white ball in paint. And then tape a small pupil over it. over night you should put a line of book of latex on the butt end of the eye to make a nice eye stem.
The third step was to hollow up the eye socket and paint it red. You can also put two strips of liquid latex over the eyeball to make an eyelid.
The last step is just the head up to look my the actor. Now if you want a blood pouring out of your eye socket all you need is a weed sprayer that you can put under the fake head.
To achieve the eye rip effect you need to use a lot of quick shots and then quick reaction shots. You do not necessarily need a good fake head to make it look good.

Anyway, thanks a lot Indy Mogul keep making movies.
