Speaker: This Red Pepper Hummus is great as an appetizer with warm Pitas and vegetables or it can be used as a spread on sandwiches. First, reserve a dozen chickpeas for garnish. Then add the remaining chickpeas to a food processor with a metal bladed --. Next, add two tablespoons of Tahini which is a sesame seed paste. Now add the juice from half a lemon. One-and-a-half teaspoons of Italian herbs, three cloves of garlic, one cup of drained roasted peppers, four fresh basil leaves. One tablespoon of tomato paste, one teaspoon of paprika. Two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, quarter teaspoon of hot sauce, one teaspoon of salt and a quarter cup of extra virgin olive oil. Now puree until smooth. Garnish with whole chickpeas and fresh lime juice. Red Pepper Hummus is a Mediterranean taste treat that everyone loves.
