How to Make Smoked Salmon Pizza
Well, to start it off, you want to preheat your oven to 450. Inside our oven, we have a
pizza stone and we’re just using this metal tray to help take it in and out. And the secret
to a good pizza is a good homemade sauce.
We’re going to start ours with a spoon full of sugar, a can of pealed tomatoes, some black
pepper, some garlic powder, and some oregano leaves, and we’re going to top it off with
some fresh basil. We’re going to cover it or blend it on a puree and we want to make sure
it’s all good and chopped up.
Alright, what we want to do is we’re going to open our smoked salmon and its real tender
just kind breaks so apart and you want to break it off into little chunks. You can use any
flavor of smoked salmon, our happened to be flavored with pepper corn.
We’re going to stretch our pizza starting at the corners and just pushing down. And you
want to leave about a half inch of dough between the edge and we’re you're going that’s
going to be the crust.
Now that we’re done stretching we’re going to flip it over and we’re going squeeze all
the air out and you can actually feel the air bubbles between your fingers coming out in
doing this. What we’re doing here is we’re stretching out the pizza getting all the air
bubbles out while maintaining the circular pizza shape.
When you're tossing the dough you want to make sure you keep your palms down and
you keep your fingers up they're going to catch and make holes in the dough. So you
want to toss it like this.
Alright, we’re going to take out our pizza stone. You’ll be very careful because its 450
degrees. Might not seemed like much but it is. I've placed the dough on here and now
we’re going to put a ladle full of sauce on our pizza. Depending on the size of your pizza
you may want a little more than one ladle.
You know make sure this cheese is spread evenly throughout. So you don’t have large
clumps on part of your pizza and then all sauce on other parts. Alright, now we’re going
to put on the salmon. You want to take it kind of spread it on throughout the pizza and
this is going to add to a lot of the flavor. Now, that we have all our toppings on. We want
to put it back in the oven for seven to 10 minutes. Fabulous!
