Hi, I'm Chef Jason Hill. This hot chocolate mix recipe will blow any of the stores about packets and comes together in a snap.
Here’s what we’ll need to make of cup hot chocolate. For this homemade hot chocolate recipe, we’re going to use 1 cup of milk, about 1/2 cup of heavy cream, 1/4 cup of sugar.
Now we skim the milk into a sauce pan on high and bring almost to a boil. After the milk almost reaches to boil, it’s time to add a cup of good quality semi-sweet chocolate chips. Whisk until the chocolate chips are completely melted.
Next, add about a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Pour the hot chocolate into your favorite mug, top it with cream and freshly grated chocolate shavings.
