You know when cooking, it’s not to put together different kinds of ingredients but some of them just don’t go very well together like sardines and ice cream or chicken and chocolate or strawberries and spinach. No wait a minute actually that last one is really good and I’m going to show you how to make a salad out of it right now.
Unlike a lot of salads, this time I’m going to start with a dressing first to give it a time to sit there and mutate and coagulate and…
Okay and so we’re just going to start putting everything together like our sound of the wheel. A little bit of vinegar, some Worcestershire sauce, and some paprika, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, a little bit of sugar. Don’t over do it like James Bond. “I like mine shaken, not stirred.” We’ll let that seat for a while. So, slice up about a pint of strawberries, fresh, take your washed spinach, put it around the salad bowl and tear it into pieces. A whole bunch of spinach not maybe like a lot. I mean a bunch. A bunch that spinach comes in bunches like bananas.
After that, we add our almonds and our strawberries. Now, let’s give our dressing one more good shake, that and the whole thing as well and toss. This is especially great in the summer because we’re really pulling down at the salad.
That looks great. Bon Apetit!
