Hey! How are you all doing? Today, I am going to show how to make some sweet tea. I like sweet tea, it’s wonderful. It can be a quench for thirst. I find I like it sweeter in the winter times and less sweet in the summer times. Teas can be a better thirst quencher if it does not have much sugar. Sugar doesn’t really quench your thirst. If you feel hot and sweaty in summer time, a glass of sweet tea or a glass of ice tea will really do the trick.
So let me show you how to put it together. Alright, making sweet tea ain’t a big deal. One important thing to remember is that we are making tea. We need a least two tea bags. Alright, put your tea bags into some hot water, at about two cups of hot water. I’ll put the tea bags in there, just kind of dip them in there. You know how to do it.
I’ll wait till the water starts to boil, and soon as the water starts to boil, I’ll turned if off. Because I don’t want tea bags to burst, and to put all those grounds in my tea, I’d be very unhappy. Now as soon as my water comes to a boil, I’ll just turn my stove off. As long as you let them sit there, then the more tea flavor that you’ll get, you don’t want it to be too less tea. About four or five minutes is all it take, soaking in some hot water. And one reason why the water is hot is because you have to have hot water to melt the sugar. If you do not melt the sugar in your sweet tea, then it ain’t going to be sweet. You could not put sugar in ice tea and expect to dissolve. It’s never going to happen. It will never give you a sugar in your tea.
Okay here, I have my tea pitcher. I had about a half cup of sugar. I’ll put just a little bit more than a half cup of sugar for every two quarts of tea that I make. Put about a half cup of sugar for every two quarts of teas you make, but you can put more or less, depending how much sugar you like, if you find that you like it sweeter or you do not like it is sweeter. You can put what you want. I’m going to squeeze the tea bags out into my pitcher. Now stir this up, make sure all the sugar in there is dissolved in the hot tea.
So all dissolved, and then I must add some cold water. And after you add some cold water make sure you stir it up well and it’s pretty warm at this point. And then we’re going to pour on top with some ice. And if you want too, you can just add some ice in here instead of so much cold water. But I like pouring across the ice, in that way the ice mix would go farther. You can take yourself from it.
Made some jar full of ice. How would you like to drink here in South Carolina? And there we have some sweet tea. Alright, so sweet tea is no big deal. You all can do it, put them together for yourself. And it takes about some five to seven minutes and you’ll have a sweet tea. It can’t be that never about a half cup of sugar for every two quarts of tea. Use the family size tea bags. It takes two to make two quarts, for example when you’ll have birthday. Thanks.
