How to Make Tomato Basil Crostini

Speaker: Tomato Basil Crostini is a wonderful appetizer to bring the fresh flavor of summer into your harvest kitchen. First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Cut one French baguette in third of an inch slices and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle the bread with Bertolli extra virgin olive oil and season with salt. Mix it with your hands to blend the flavor. Toast them for about 15 minutes or until golden in the oven. You will want to turn these ones. While the bread toasts, chop three tomatoes and thinly slice six basil leaves. Now layer each piece of toast with tomato, basil and shredded Parmesan cheese.
