And today, we are going to prepare a vegan strawberry ice cream. No need to break out those old
school ice cream turners. All you're going to need for this recipe is a food processor, frozen
strawberries, brown sugar, soy milk, vanilla extract, and you have your frozen vegan treat.
Okay, so let's get started making this vegan strawberry ice cream. Right here, we have our food
processor. This is where all the magic happens. We’re going to put all our ingredients here and
get a nice tasty treat.
So first we’re going to start out with a bag which is a pound or 16 ounces of frozen strawberries.
Next to add to these strawberries, we’re going to add ¾ cup of brown sugar. You can use light or
darkened. It doesn’t matter. Whatever your sweet teeth is craving. Next, we're going to add some
liquid to this. We have a cup of soy milk. 1 cup of soy milk, you can use vanilla or plain or you
can even use rice milk if you want to. Next, to add a little more flavor to this vegan strawberry
ice cream, we’re going to add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. And then our final ingredient, very
simple but it adds a little, solidifies everything together, a fourth teaspoon of salt.
Next, we’re going to press pulse and get this magic maker going. So now that we blended it to
the consistency that we want, it’s smooth. We have no chunks of strawberries in there. But hey,
it that’s your thing, leave it a little chunky.
This is a great alternative to someone that’s looking for a dairy-free treat. So someone’s lactose
intolerant, they really can't digest dairy products very well. They can still have their ice cream
and eat it too. This is really good. It was really simple. And you know what? It’s a real meal.
