Speaker: This item is inspired by a Japanese recipe vegetable tempura. from a point of view it about by lucky day for may be hide and seek. Then the important part to this recipe is variety because this is not much fun if everything is exactly the same, so we got variety vegetables then on this plate of course my dish. I got some mushrooms, some broccoli flowers some carrot buttons, baby sweet corn red pepper, some sugar snap peas and some gulent with you can very depending on whatever you have in your refrigerator.
The other parts of this are to add some surprise then on this plate I have got some chunks of mild satay and some pineapple chunks. These idea will cover about the same sizes with vegetable so it makes a little bit more of surprise which makes you to get then obviously then it high and so we’re going cut them in a very, very light butter, so its make the butter now.
I didn’t mixing bowel, I’m going to have just a little bit, just a tablespoon of corn flour mixed in with some olive oil and some water, so mix the corn flour in with a tablespoon of water and two teaspoons of olive oil. Now I’m going to mix that up to make bit of a paste make sure this no lumps you want to make sure its completely smooth, so the corn flour, the water and some olive oil in hand into nice, thin paste obviously we -- thicken up we are going to thick up with a egg white. But before we do that because we don’t want the egg white to collect through we cook it. Let’s get some oil on to heat, now who have – I like olive oil but for this recipe you need to use an oil has higher temperature in it and I‘m going to use sun flower oil this needs to be deepen up so ran about into 3 centimeters deep. And you will see wait a minute. So another mixing well I make –let’s try want to separate an egg so we just white and again I’m using organic free range eggs, so it’s just the egg white for this because it keeps about batter incredibly liked.
Then using trusty hand blender give the good play, so it’s really, really thick you want to see really thick pastes. Once you think you are going to thinking up just see if its done Japanese just for lot giving another quick play, its really thickness, its standing up really when on its, so using a metal spoon I’m going to full this into the first part of the batter just put little bit into start because that you stood and it will collapse little bit. And then choosing a little bit of the time the selection of a real variety of the vegetables so I’m going to choose 2 or 3 mushrooms and choose 2 or 3 flowers some carrot, red pepper. baby sweet corn seeds, sugar snap peas plus 2 or 3 cubes of cheese and for real surprise some of your Childs favorite fruits so I have some pineapple. Well, so all the vegetables and the fruit really nicely cooked.
Now we before we put this into the fact we need to check those factors all enough but also I note too hot. They got a couple of teaspoons just drop little bit of the butter into the fat and you should say floats it will puff up but not really split. So that’s perfect. So again using two teaspoons choose the paste from the mix just drop it into the fat.
Then this is a bit of treat and this is one of those days when you really all getting fed up that you will child doesn’t eating enough vegetables because its deep fried, its not perfect for every day, thinking about other ways you can make vegetables more exciting so you can see they puff up and once if they ready, they should be really easy to turn over well they cooking, you want to just flip them over so the other side cooks as well, so the golden brown on both sides now, we want to dry in some of that fat so it has a little bit of kitchen roll on plate it’s excess fat so as you can see the kitchen pipe has dry the oil off just put this on the serving plate and the batter is really, really lite then the crispy edge its nice to serve these with a little dipping source and some tomato with some red pepper so this something nice you can, nice and fresh to eat, each little lucky depend.
So once you plated up sit down on the little one that see if can play lucky did so I think this one, see this one I’m going to try dipping it in, yum! Carrot, nice Vegetable tempura.
