Fail? Your not really putting water on fire, but water is in the substance your setting fire. The batteries must of been leaking/ its how they react when in water, therefore when you put it on fire the fire(or the gases that makes the fire light. Which I can't be bothered going through the fire triangle) reacts with the acidic liquid from the battery. Oh and don't ask, i just like science. I'm 12.

FAIL! Leaving batteries in water, and then taking them out with your BARE HANDS is STUPID. (Who needs skin, anyways?)
