Female Speaker: Hi guys! Can you help me? I would like to sew my own wedding dress. Do you think that you can make this your latest how-to project? Thanks a million. Diadem22.
Today we are making a simple but classic summer wedding dress that costs only $10 to make.
Male Speaker: DIY, DIYer4Life.
Female Speaker: For this project we are using six passed out tees that are two XL. Start by cutting off the bottom band, then cut the bottom of the shirt off at the armpits. Cut the ring open then repeat this process till you have six long pieces of fabric. Place two of the pieces together, right sides together, and long sides together and pin. Since the fabric is stretchy, use the zigzag stitch to sew them together. Cut off the excess seam allowance and repeat till you have four panels sewn together. Iron all the panels and press each seam down in the same direction.
Now, take all your body form and wrap the panel piece around it inside out. Align the center of the fabric with the center of the bust and pin it at the top of the back pulling the top very taut. Pinch and pin the back seam all the way to the floor letting the skirt flare just a bit, then use tailor chalk. I use blue so could see, but you should use a non intrusive color and mark a line over the pin line all the way to the floor. Make sure to do both sides of the seam. Next, even up the bottom of it where the two pieces meet. You'll do the rest later. Unpin the top of the garment so you can take it off unless you have a collapsible body form. Now, pin it back up a bit, and cut off the excess leaving about an inch of seam allowance.
From your scrapes, cut and press a band that is one inch wide when folded lengthwise, and long enough to go across the top of your garment. Sew it together using a straight stitch, then pin it to the top of the garment right sides together, cut off the excess and sew it on with the zigzag stitch. Fold the band up and press. Pin the back seam together again and take out a zipper. Install it in the back seam using our old zipper tutorial.
Once you have your zipper in, put the garment back on the form, and even up the bottom. Take out your fit panel and iron it. Put two slits of each side stopping before you get to the center. Take out your six panel and iron it, then pull on the sides a little bit so it curls. Lastly taking a cue from Meg's wedding episode, find a vintage brooch, this one was my mom's. It's now time for the bride to put on the base of the garment. Wrap the slitted panel around the bust with the center of the panel at the back.
Start with the top two bands bringing them to the front and knotting them in the back. Repeat with the next two set of bands. Take out the last panel, find the center and pin it to the bottom with your brooch, then tuck the loose ends in, in the back. And you are a beautiful bride who has not only money smart, but who has also reduced wedding carbon footprint.

Male Speaker: Hey Thread Banger this is my sewing machine. Here this shirt that I made. This was what I did with the one of the prehand stitches gear and button on the back. This one I did organs, this one I made another little creepy cute balloon and here is some hands that I made I redid the pocket. I grab them in and made them really tight and I put zippers on the back.
