Hi, I’m Milo Rodriguez, Master Mixologist. I’m here today in New York City and I’m going to make you a Bacardi, Hand Shaken Daiquiri. Bacardi Superior originated in 1862 and it's best known for being one of the most mixable of all the Bacardi Rums.
To begin, I’m going to use a mixing glass and we’re going to squeeze on part of fresh limejuice. So I’m using a lime squeezer here to really emphasize the fresh squeeze limejuice. I’m going to use two-half and importantly I’m going to use some simple syrup which is really the easiest way to add sugar to this drink, equal part, sugar and water. Of course, you can use two spoons of regular at home, no problem at all.
I’m going to use one part of simple syrup and last but not the least, the Bacardi Superior. I’m going to add to two parts of Bacardi Superior. Fill with ice, lots of ice in this with the Hand Shaken Daiquiri. It's really important to make sure that you get the drink really nice and cold. From there, give this a really good shake and of course, it's an ice cold drink now so I’m going to add this obviously into a chilled Martini, also known as a Cocktail glass. Just emptying the ice and the Club Soda there, just using that to chill the glass down. Very simply, leaving a gap on the top and the traditional garnish for a Hand Shaken Daiquiri is a Lime Wedge, very, very simply just on the rim of the glass. In case, you like to drink to be a little bit more sour, you can always add the Lime Wedge and squeeze it in yourself. And there you have it, the Bacardi Hand Shaken Daiquiri. Cheers.
