Hi guys. Sean the Silver Fox. Last night I was looking through one of my books to do with knot tying and I noticed in there, there was some lashings that you can do to put around wooden rings or messle rings. And that gave me an idea. Those of you who have seen my other videos, you may have noticed that I wear various bracelets that I’ve made and from patents that I've seen in the show and I put one here. This is a—made out of Para Cord. I have got one here which is made up out of leather of boot lace and next is a three-strand plat but made of one continual piece of leather and this one here is a small one, just contains a few beads.
All of these obviously are just—are truly decorative. Okay, I am just wearing something to wear and you can’t actually do anything with the string in there because it is in such small lengths. So what I came up with was this bracelet. I’ll probably got to take it off. Okay, as you can see and what that is, that is between ten to twelve feet of Para Cord you used there and it’s one continual pace and it’s all usable and what I will do, I’ll demonstrate how I made it.
So roll the Para Cord. And what I did for myself to get the right amount was—to me it was two full stretches, two full spans. Okay, so there we go. So now we’ve got approximately ten feet to twelve feet of Para Cord.
To make the Para Cord, what I did is hold the end, keep your fingers spread apart and do about four to five loops around your hand, okay. And you want it over see, so it just about fits over your wrist. Make it a bit smaller than that. Let’s do it slightly smaller.--bigger than that.
Okay, so you got five loops of Para Cord. And with the other end what we need to do is we start—we need to start winding this Para cord through loop. What you need to do is you need to start. Okay, so this is the long end, you need to start this loop just in front of tuck end, okay. So what we do is hold it on you, pull the Para Cord through the center and wind it over itself. Okay, couple on there.
Okay, so now hopefully you can start to see the wind or weave okay. And all I’m going to do is just wrapping it around over and over again. Once you get all there round and you come back up to where the short end is, the tuck end, you let—you bring it right to the top and I put this leftover and you put the simply a knot in the end to this. Knot the ends. As you can see on this one, I combine and close, okay. So I’ve melted the ends here, melt them together and then if I need to use this Para Cord for any reason, all I got to do is cut the melted piece off, just put my knife through the end here. Unwind and I got my self ten to twelve—ten, twelve feet of Para cord. So, there you go. So, simple idea, which of the ones I like best. There you go. Hope that’s of uses for some of you and I’ll see you next time.
