Hi! And welcome to make your own balloon shooter. To make your own balloon shooter, the materials you need are a roll of duct tape, roll of hockey tape, electrical tape, anything that's fairly sticky, a balloon, a pair of scissors and a film container with the end cut off, so that the both ends are open.
First thing we are going to do is cut the tip off of your balloon, can be anywhere where it starts to get bigger and wide. Next you take the balloon and put it over top of your film container and then straighten it out a bit there, so it's even this may take a couple of seconds there. Next, you are going to take your hockey tape or electrical tape, whatever you are using and you are going to stick a strip about five inches long, tear that and put it around where the balloon and the film container meet, make sure that's all sealed up.
Next, you are going to take your duct tape and tear a strip like this, now the reason I am using the duct tape is so that it adds extra protection to the balloon, if your are going to be shooting rocks or anything sharp, but if you are not going to be doing that if you just going to be shooting regular Steel BBs or Plastic BBs that are really circular and have no sharp edges you can just pretty much use it like this.
So, if you are shooting something sharp and you want to add the duct tape this is how, okay, you take your duct tape you tear a strip, so that you can make two equal squares, I did it like this, one for the inside and one for the out and put your duct tape on like this, curved around a bit, tear some of the excess off or cut some off I should say.
Okay, then you would put this inside out and you put your duct tape on the inside and the duct tape is just for a protection against the balloon and there you go, you have your very own balloon/BB shooter, pretty powerful.
An extra step that I take after my balloon shooter is finished is, if the tape isn't sticking what you want to do is get a soldering iron that's already heated up and screwdriver, it works better because you don't want to burn your finger, you put the balloon over the screw driver and you take the tip and you go along the edge of the balloon, edge of the tape and you start melting the duct tape to the balloon this is very helpful for sticking the tape to the balloon and you just go all the way around and melt some other stuff, flip it inside out, and then start melting the inside.
Now it does kind of smell a little bit when you do this, so you probably want to have some freshener nearby, something to mask the smell and what that does is that just helps stick the duct tape to the balloon better, so it doesn't fly off, while you are shooting, there you go.
