The drink I want to show you now is called a Long Beach Iced Tea which is a variation of the original Long Island Iced Tea but there’s a little bit of a difference to it, not too much.
So what we want to do is we want to take our mixing cup. We’re going to put a little splash our sour mix in there which is our citrus lemon-lime concentrate with sugar and then we’re going to use a variety of liqueurs. If you are a bartender and you work in a bar, usually you have a rack in front of you with the most popular liqueurs, and we’re going to use all that clear liqueurs in the speed racks. So what we’re going to do is use a half an ounce of each. So first of all we got half an ounce of vodka, we’re just fill in right down the line here, half-ounce of gin, half-ounce of light rum, this is really a strong drink, half-ounce of our Triple Sec which is our sweet orange peel taste liqueur. And let’s not forget half-ounce of tequila. So we got some tequila here too. We don’t want to forget anything.
And then what we’re going to do is we’re going to put a little splash of a cranberry juice in there, not too much just a little bit. And now what we have to do is we have to shake all the ingredients up to mix them together and we got a nice tall glass here, we’re going to fill it up with ice and let’s shake it up nice and thoroughly. There we go, let’s get all these ingredients nicely shook up.
Then we are going to pour this in here, we’re going to strain it without our ice, here we go. And then we’re going to top it of with a little shot of 7-Up or lemon lime soda. And then what I’m going to do is I’m just going to put a little piece of lemon garnish on it, there we have it, our Long Beach Ice Tea!
