So, what we’re going to do is make a Bash file on Linux. And what this Bash file is going to do is it’s going to tell Firefox to run the iMacro and it will reset our router.
And to do that, we have to create an empty file. And you can rename this empty file to say reset. Now, double click to open it alright. And the first thing you want to type in is #! /bin/bash and this points to the Ubuntu Linux Bash directory. And then you want to type in the Firefox, then you want to open Firefox with a new tab, save a new tab right there. And then you want to run the iMacro that we created. So, open you iMicro in Firefox and then go to the one that you just created. And mine is 2Wire right. So, I want to click on Add, right click and then add to Bookmark. But we’re not really adding a Bookmark. We just want the screen pops up with it—in this screen we want to copy this URL here because that’s going to activate iMacro in the past script and you want to cancel it because you’re not adding it to Bookmark. And then you copy that and then go back here. And all you got to do is paste that like that and then save it. Alright, save it in Excel.
Okay. So, we have our file here. Now, you have to let it run with permission. So, you go to Properties, and then you go to File Permissions and what it’s is Allow executing and you could allow and close. And now you open to JDownloader Configurations and go to reconnect and then the method you put batch. And for the Batch Script, you want it to point to the batch file we just created which is this one. And this in the desktop so Properties, this is the desktop. See, desktop. But what you want to do is paste that in there and the filename is say the filename is reset. So, you want to reset. And then you want to save it, save. Then you want to test it out now. And make sure this is checked because you’re going to use it later. So, that’s what it’s going to do. So, open Configurations again. And now, we have our batch setup. And now, we have to test if it does the macro or not.
So, to test it, I’m going to zoom out so you guys could see. And as you could see it’s working. It made a new tab and it’s running the macro. See, it’s running the macro and it should reset in like two minutes. And then another thing you want to do in the configurations is you see right here where it says Wait for new IP in seconds right here. I set mine to 120, that’s like two minutes or rather it’s like a minute and 40 seconds. And I put it to minutes so it gives a little bit of time to get a new IP just in case something happens. So, that’s what you should do. And we’re waiting for it to reconnect and see if it works. So, I’ll minimize this. And as you see my thing is still applying. See, that’s reconnecting a new IP—so, my router has so much back up. See, it should be in a second now. Come on, okay. Few more seconds, see right here and over here it says Reconnect Successfully! Alright, that’s all you got to do. So, it works. So alright, so that’s how you do it.
