Welcome back to my cooking show it’s suppertime presented by callingachef.com powered by Mies Breading and Amber Back Beer. Today is going to be a simple beer battered and I’m going to put together with one of my sponsors in Mies Breading, its really good and my Amber Back Beer very simple with this Beer Battered Fish, what we’re using is some white fish and some blue gale, all you have to do is just pour your beer in there. Basically it’s a simple batter and the consistency you want to look for is almost like a pancake mix. So, I have my pan already going and it should be hot enough so very simple batters so instead of using a dark Amber Back Beer you can go with light beer, bush or anything like that. Here’s what this lake blue gale looks like so after you flake it becomes like this small.
So it’s a little bite size, you split up, put the fish in the batter like so, come over your hot stove and your hot pan and set it in there like so, dip up the excess and you smell the beer and the batter and it’s really good and let’s put that in that in their like so. Always wash your hands while you’re cooking, very simple now, just takes a minute since that small of the piece of fish is only going to take a couple of minute per side at the very most.
Usually, a bigger fish takes three to four minute per side so let’s grab our little spatula or something we can work with here and coming together beautifully. There you go you’re looking for a nice golden brown color as well like I said, it’s only going to take about two minutes maybe three minutes you know so there’s always stay with this Mies brand and you can go to my website callingachef.com any products you see from the knives, from linking small wares, you could literally click on their logo, goes right in there website, use a promotion of call calling a chef 2009, you’re going to save 10% to 25%. The 25% discount is on the Slip Grips safety shoes so, appreciate to support with those sponsors as well.
So, we’re about done. I could smell the beer with the fish in there, its really good, very enticing. I’m cooking my fish in olive oil by the way if you can use vegetable oil or canola oil but we’re cooking with olive oil and so it’s a very healthy way to cook so, they’re now done, it didn’t take that long. Always with fish, you always want to garnish it I already went ahead and did some up real quick, chop and squeeze a lemon there, without seeds of course and enjoy, grab a fork. You should try this out. And now that’s really good.
