Craszy Chris: Oh! Hey! Hi! I’m Craszy Chris, and welcome to so cool science. Science you can so right at home. I’m just looking at the night sky and going over today’s science files and today’s science file says.
What are black holes?
Well that’s an excellent question. Try this. You will need some dirt and a page from the news paper. Okay bring your dirt and your news paper with you over to your bed. Oh sorry! In the meantime we can tear the newspaper. Tear the piece of paper, that’s it mix it with the dirt. Okay, quick, come here, come here. First you got to fill your sink. Okay, once your sink is filled you got to want to dump your dirt news paper mix into the sink. Then hit the block. Now how is that like a black hole? Well, take a look at this.
Black holes are dense objects that have a huge gravitational pull. So strong, that not even light can escape. The dirt and red bits of newspaper are similar to objects that fill our universe. When objects come near the mouth of a black hole, they get sucked in similar to what happens in the drain. Just like in the sink, black holes can only pull objects in that come near the edge of its mouth. Since gravitational pull is so strong that not even like escape, we can’t see them. Astronomers use x-rays that are given off by the black hole to detect if one is there. So make your black holes in your bathroom, is why science so cool.
