How to Make a Boutonniere with Gerbera Daisies

Hi, it's Sandy from Afloral and we have a gerbera collection and today, we’d like to show how to make a gerbera boutonniere. We do have some gerbera boutonnieres available, already made for you but if you’d like to make your own, we’re going to use some of our light green floral tape and choose whichever gerbera daisy you like and we’re going to wrap the stem with the tape. Wrapping the stem with the tape takes away that plastic look, it makes it look realistic and then cut it off. I usually like to cut my boutonnieres about three finger lengths long. With each boutonniere that I make, I’d like to add a leaf and since we are using some ivy with this collection, I’ve taken a piece of ivy with a few leaves on it and I will put the stems together and then tape that ivy right to the gerbera daisy. This is fun and easy. You want to make sure both of your stems are exactly the same length so that in fact, it looks like one single stem and then when you’re ready to pin that on, in minutes, you’re ready to go.
