Corinne: Hey there! Rob and Corinne here, welcome to Thread Heads.
Rob: We are here hanging out in Chicago at the GreenFestival one of the largest ego gatherings on the face of the planets.
[Music Playing]
Kevin: My name is Kevin Danaher, I am the Co-founder of global exchange and also one of he executive co–producers of the GreenFestivals, we are now in five cities we are in San Francisco’s Seattle, Chicago, Washington DC and Denver and infact that this hall is packed, we would probably going to get over 30,000 people this weekend. It blows people’s minds, they actually get chemically high from seeing, wow the future actually exist right now, we just have to accelerate it and cooperate more and get it all together and will make the transition to the next economy.
Male2: I like to recycle, I like to recycle.
Female: We are from small axe clothing, we do a vintage inspire designs from the 1940’s to the 1970’s and all organic and non toxic dyes and everything is made in the United States. My grandmother was actually a seamstress, did a lot of uniforms for the soldiers in World War II, so sort of run in the family and I have been sort of searching and my sisters have been searching for clothes that we can wear to work and we are out and be really cute and fun but still we are environmentalist at the same time.
Davidson: I am Davidson with the GreenGuru gear we make a bunch of bags out of recycle to reclaim materials. Most of the materials that we have used were all billboards and banners that we take from the cut off remove the colors and graphics. This was actually a hamburger, so this is cheese, this is some of the burger, and I think that is probably some of the bun. Other of my group working in bike shops and I become very dissatisfied about how the connection to the outdoors was just associated by all the bike products of cycling and then venture, you know got to all the bike parts is on a regular basis so I started bring him bike inter tubes and some gather learn how to saw at the young age, my mom only child so that was fun and kind of one thing led to another sewing other materials and mother fabrics together making different products.
Female3: We have a lot of products that are made out of recycle materials such as, these are made out of the waste from food packaging, and these are made out of tire rubber fuse with hump and then these colorful ones are made out of plastic bags that have been collected off to streets of India, while women is cooperative that did not have work before, so these bags are made out of film that is taking from light checks when they do a particular movie and so they are really positives not negative, so you can see them up right. Well, it is definitely time to get the heck out of here, I think I have done enough damage to my bank account but we will be right back with a lesson from a very special forum member, stick around.

Male: Hey what’s up so one of the thing that we really love with you when we come to a new town visit some of our forum members. Through over here a mom and sasses house, you all know mama sass pretty go inside.
Female: Hey, there Eds, come on in. Mama Sass actually came from my room mate Melanie. After she said something one day and I agreed with her bunch of we are saying, oh, yes Melanie I agree with you. I said, hmm and she responded by saying, well okay, Mama Sass. And then there was a day when I saw the Thread Banger logo and I click on it and looked there and I was like, oh my goodness. Oh, here is that banger. So I was just got it and do it writing stuffs from the message and getting inspired to make more things and now well, here we are.
So now, I am going to show you how to make one of my famous button necklaces. So first in here a bunch of buttons and a hammer, wire cutters, nail nose pliers, some nails, necklace chain and a block of wood or a hard service.
Okay, the first thing you going to do is take one of your buttons and your going to bend the pin part back that it look like this. And then you are going to take your wire cutters and you are to cut off the pointy part, very carefully.
After you have cut up the point, you just want to flip it over, punch your hole in nail on the opposite side. They are little slippery so, you got to find a way hold on there. And then you will have your hole. Depending on how long you want your necklace, you are going to puncture about 20 of these. So, just keep hammering away until you are done.
Now that you have all of your pins with their holes and now you are going to connect them. And then you are going to put the wire from one of them into the other so that they are layered on top of each other. Taking the almost pliers and pull the wire over in that or lock it in both ways.
You should be worried I mean, even that the point is gone it is still kind of sharp. So you want to make sure that you are actually get that down as far as you can. Once you have them all connected, you are going to poke a second hole at the button at the end so that you can connect your chain. And then just add your second necklace piece and you are done. So, there you have it. You have a new pin necklace that you just up all those extra old pins you have liner on the house.
