Cheap Projector from an Old Laptop Video

Pretty good. But, just one suggestion: you don't need to play that annoying drumming track in the background; especially so if you are also speaking in the video. There is nothing "cool" about this kind of background noise; it just makes it harder to listen to what is being said. It's like you're implying that what you're saying is not important. I know most people add such annoying drumming background noises in their videos; but that just illustrates the point that most people are like sheep, doing stupid things because "hey, everyone does it".

How to Make a Cheap Projector from an Old Laptop

Male Speaker: Now that the technological age has been around for a while we begin accumulating a lot of old electronics that are setting around collecting dust. One way to repurpose them is to up cycle them into something useful. As an example in this video I'm going to show you how to make a cheap projector using an old laptop an old overhead projector and some screw drivers. I'll be using an old laptop that someone gave me and an overhead projector that are brought of Craigslist for $30. Taking the laptop what our goal is, is to remove the screen from it. So as a first step it would be helpful if you could find a tear down of your laptop to help you figure out how to remove it, so you can either visit your manufactures website to see if they have it or you could Google the name of your computer and then add teardown to the end of the search query. However as long as you are careful this can be still be done even if you don't have a teardown guide. To begin you want to separate the screen from the laptop base. This generally involves of moving screws from the base of the computer and removing the control board above the keyboard. Leave any cables connected that go from the base to the screen. Next you'll want to remove the bezel from the screen to find the screws to extract you'll have to remove the bumper guards that are glued to the bezel. Once you have the bezel off carefully unscrew and remove any brackets that surround the LCD screen. Once these are removed and you are able to take out the LCD screen you should see that there is a cable coming from the laptop that runs to the circuit board that connects directly to the top of the LCD screen. This is very fragile so be careful when dealing with it. Please not that if your LCD screen has a circuit board both on the top and on the side of it then this type of LCD screen will not work for this project. Unscrewing the other casings attached to your LCD screen and separate and remove it from the back right. You should now be left with LCD and its attached circuit board that feeds into the laptop. Turn on the laptop to make sure the LCD is still functional and is not damaged. Now take the LCD screen in position flat on the center of the overhead projector. Then turn both the laptop and over head projector on and adjust the focus and enjoy your new projector. Here is a few things to note, first of all this setup is very fragile, so make sure that you secure the code between the laptop and LCD screen so that it doesn't get ripped off or damaged. Secondly this type of projector works best in dimly lit areas. And lastly what I've just shown you are a very basic setup for this project, so feel free to add whatever you need to make it more practical and useful.
