Of all of the different Christmas decorations, the Christmas wreath is one of the most well-known and inviting. While you can find many different Christmas wreaths available online, there is something special about knowing that you made your own. And if you want to make an event out of it, you can throw a Christmas wreath making party. But before you start pouring the hot chocolate and turning up the Christmas music, you need to know how to make your Christmas wreath. I am Megan Carter and this is Ask the Decorator,
It is extremely easy to learn how to make a Christmas wreath and it takes very little time. The key to making a great Christmas wreath is having a lot of beautiful materials. I will be using a greenery wreath. Extra greens, pine cones, berries, bells and ribbons. If you working with artificial materials like I am, you will also need a hot glue gun, glue sticks and wire. I always start decorating my Christmas wreath with extra greens. The standard wreath basics are always so boring because they are made with the same they refer. To give my wreath a little posses and interest, I add different types of greens. It is much more festive. Once I have all my extra greens on, it is time to decide where everything should go and I just lay it on there and dry it first. Now you should always start with the biggest thing that you will be putting on your wreath which in this case is the bow because the biggest thing will give you bearing to where you want to put all the other little things. Then, add the other things. Try using three big groupings on your wreath with one bigger than other two. Then have one to three very small groupings. When making your groupings, mess all the objects into the greens. Once you like to place one of your objects, start gluing them down. For an extra touch, hang bells or ornaments from inside the wreath. It will give the wreath a festive look. After adding the ornaments or bells, flip the wreath over and attach the wire loop which will be used to hang the wreath. Then put on your bow and you are done. Was it not easy learning how to make your Christmas wreath? But I have to go now. I need to find a place to hang this up. I am Megan Carter and this is Ask the Decorator.
