Hi, my name is Milo Rodriguez, Master Mixologist. I’m here today in New York City and I’m glad to make you the Corzo Modern Margarita. The Corzo Modern Margarita is a modern twist on the classic recipe, utilizing the freshest ingredients possible and uses the most contemporary available Tequila today.
To begin with the course of Modern Margarita, first, take your mixing glass also known as Boston glass. We’re going to add fresh orange, one slice, two Lemon Wedges and last but certainly not the least, two Lime Wedges. Really important, obviously in the Classic Margarita Mix but before we model that, which is the great thing about this drink, once your emphasizing the oils from the citrus, we’re going to add one part of the Agave Nectar to the mix.
Agave Nectar has a lower GI index, a Glycemic index, which means that less sugar is converted into fat. So then t model that, roughly about 8 to 10 times. That’s all you need. It doesn’t need to over model most cocktails and for this, we’re really just waking up the oils and the skin and really importantly, the Corzo Reposado Tequila. We’re actually going to pour one and half parts, which is a lovely pour for most Margaritas. Again, using lots and lots of ice and Margarita’s deserve to be well shaken. You really need to combine the flavor of citrus, the Agave Nectar, which is very thick and the Tequila itself. A really good shake and traditionally, this would be served straight up or on the rocks due to your preference but we have a beautiful stemless Martini glass as a sort of almost in between the two. So I’ve just chill that down and I just emptied the ice on the Club Soda there and that’s great with of chilling down the glass at home, making life very easy if you don’t have in the re fridge for that. It's just straining contents, keeping all the bits of fruit back and see how beautiful the color is there, really emphasizing the golden color of most Tequilas. And to garnish the Modern Margarita, we’re going to add a Lime Wedge just in case the guest may prefer an extra bit of sour to that and yu can squeeze it in yourself and just drop it in. and there you have it, the Corzo Modern Margarita.
