Jennifer Perkins: What I think of centerpiece is I usually think of things let’s say candle,
candle sticks but that’s not Halloween. So let’s got some things like say
perhaps some spooky fruit which is super cute on a big bowl, what you
need first of all is to take a little trip to your grocery store and look for
some plastic fruit. If you can’t find this in the grocery store you can also
find this at the craft store that’s a whole full fruit aisle I promise you. So,
I’ve got some oranges and pears and all kind of stuffs and the next thing is
take it all of outside and get some spray paint that design for plastic and
give it a good one silver you may have to do several coats get it
completely peach black because that’s the affix you want to go for. It’s
going to look something like this which is cute as it is but not as cute as it
would be if we paint a little on face on it. So that is where our white craft
paint comes in and I’m using a very fine tip paint brush for this because
you know you’re going to get kind of the tailed and I’m just going to do
you know one little eye here just you know you could do a little Jack O
Lantern faces.
You can get this tricky as you want, do you want this? I’m not much of an
artist crafts as I am artist I am not. Just fill it in and let it dry, you can also
use colored paint if you would like another option. When you have a
bunch of all done you could use them to fill up a clear vase like this for
kind of fancier effects or you could fill up a final fruit bowl with them.
You might mix them in with your real life fruit so like let say that’s like; I
want a banana with breakfast wow, what’s that? Makes a fun centerpiece
stop in front to have on in your counter and sees Halloween all over.
