Hi I am Chef Keith Snow and welcome to my kitchen.
I want to show you how to make a very simple but delicious salad, and it is about the ingredients on this one.
We have got some beautiful greens that came out of my garden. They were clipped, run under some cold water and then spun dry. We are going to take this. Put them into the bowl and there is two or three different types of lettuces in their. If you go to supermarket just look for some organic baby greens.
So there is the portion of the recipe, this is a lemon thyme vinaigrette. This is a super easy vinaigrette to make. Delicious flavors and we are going to use probably three heaping tablespoons. And that is kind of very bright flavor because of the lemon.
Now, just because this is a salad, do not forget to season it because it needs a little bit of salt on those greens to really bring out the flavors and certainly some good black pepper.
This is the type of salad you do not need all extras with it, tomatoes, onions, just a green, stalks and this beautiful light vinaigrette make a really nice little appetizer or side salad, and like you hear me say million times, be careful not to beat up this tender greens.
Alright, so now to plate this up, let us tell our guests the flavors that are in the dish by taking some beautiful flowering thyme, we will place that on the plate and also a piece of lemon, now they are going to know, they are going to have lemon thymes vinaigrette. And we will take our greens, put them in this little plate just like this and serve this to someone you love and they will love it.
There you go, mixed green salad with a lemon thyme vinaigrette.
