This is what we will be using to make your card. We start with a square of ten colored card stock that has been scoured again and cut in half. This length is five inches wide by ten inches long. So we end up with the five-inch square.
Next, we take four and a half inches square of scrap book paper, and I am going to glue around the edges like that, on all four edges, and edges are little better around the edges. Then, when you’ve done that, you glue it down, centering it like so.
The next step is a rectangle of scrap book paper; this is four and a half inches by two and a quarter inches. So the same thing, I am going to glue around all four edges of it. Then it will be fastened, somewhat like that.
My last piece, this is a cream colored cardstock and I have stamped and colored it, using hero arts sandpaper stamp and this one is by great impressions, it doesn’t have a name. And I have masked the bird to put it over the branches like that. And this has been colored using decorative chalks and personal colored pencils.
So that would be the next thing, you will affix the bird about up here, like that, okay. You will also need some embellishments including ribbon. There is another stamp that we are going to be using and a large flower.
Okay, the card is glued down, everything is glued in place. I forgot to mention before, when I was doing the distressing, I was using Tim Holt’s distressed ink, the antique linen color.
Now, the next step is to stamp the sentiment, a special thought for you, and it is by Ingkido. I am using memories dye in pink art, print brown. So the stamping will go down here along the bottom, about like that. So we have the special thought for you.
So here are a few cards that I have made. This one has a butterfly, instead of a flower, and it has white ribbon with green dots. This one is using punch art with islet in the middle, a gold islet. This one is green ribbon with white stripes and the green flower. This one is the yellow felt flower with the button in the middle, a white ribbon with green dots again. And this the original, the two types of ribbon with the yellow felt flower and the brown button in the middle.
