Hello, I’m Andrew Morpheus, usually I didn’t bring cooking appliances in except for your microwave but it limits what you can do like in case you want grilled cheese. Well, today we’re going to show to make grilled cheese with nothing but an iron, bread, cheese, butter and some aluminum foil.
The next important thing that you’re going to need, first of all is your iron. The better iron you have like the hotter it is the faster is going to cook. We have a cheap five dollar one around here, so it takes about 10 minutes but either way it still works out. The next thing you need you need either a towel or I got this $2.00 aluminum tray, just to set on top of it. Just to make sure it doesn’t to burn anything in here.
We have our cheese here, our choice is called the Colby and here’s your butter any kind that you want and your bread your choice also. You need your knife and probably some paper towels and some sort of cutting surface because right there, we’re using my desk.
We got the cheese. I’ll just cut a few slices about three. It works best. A few slices, we’ll take our butter, butter the bread. And now get a little bit of aluminum foil and that’s what you do, also it’s a must when you’re in college. Get enough and you’ll able to cover the whole sandwich and that will do.
The shiny side up and put the butter side down and you could take this. You can put your cheese right on here and again the butter side up. Then carefully just wrap the sandwich, place it on your towel or like the one tray right here. Make sure it’s also on the highest setting, and it’s been sitting here heating up for a little bit. I say it works best when the steam is off. Now, just sit around on top, be sure you have it’s going to get coverage and let it sit there.
If you got the regular iron might only be a minute but in our case it’s going to could take five minutes for one side. So now we’re going to check on so as to know what we did is menu on our home and take this here. Fair enough and you probably might get burns be careful, just carefully on all sides. And take a look at it. It’s fairly toasted but we’ll give it another minute or so. As you can see it, we’re going to give it a minute and we’re going to go ahead with some butter.
So now we go ahead, we’re going to put this over here and let it cool for a minute. So, I’m pretty sure it’s ready now. We’re going to check it out, fair enough, be careful not to burn yourself. It looks pretty good. It might stick a little bit to the foil but that’s okay. We’re going to cook in oil just be careful not to burn yourself because it’s still a little hot. It’s done pretty good. It’s not really buttery but there you go. The sandwich is really good. And that’s how to make a really good sandwich. Welcome to new dorm.
