You now I used to get in the trouble for doing things like putting stickers on walls, writing on mirrors, and from time to time spilling a little paint on the carpet. But lucky for me those are all things that were going to do to create that perfect hunted house.
I’m going to show you how to make spooky spider webs, wildly cows and funny mirrors. First stop lets work on those wildly cows. You can find all kinds of templates for this design on the internet or you can create your own.
I’ve printed this out on normal copy paper, cut them out then I put him on top of some cardstock paper so that he would be a little bit stiffer so now that I have that little hard ghost I would take him over here and set him on shell paper.
Now shell paper has a sticky back not too sticky, because were going to stick it to your wall or your wallpaper. And we don’t want it to pull off any wall paper or paint. So we put it on use our craft knife and then of course we place it on a cutting board or cutting matt nice and squishy. And we would just tape it down and we would trace out the shape.
And then we have a leaf, or a ghost, or a vampire, or whatever shape we wanted peal off the back and then you could put it, you know, space it out around the house maybe create one little spooky corner or perhaps if you have big wall you could do one big spooky treat.
When you’re decorating for your hunted house you want to also be sure to include little touches like perhaps a spider web to the raw rag. All you got to do is find yourself a little rag like this when you might even have an extra wind lying around the house. And then we are going to free hand a spider web on here using glow in the dark paint.
And you might be thinking freehand, well don’t be scared it’s really easy actually to do a spider web, I’m going to show you how. The first thing you want to start with is a big O and X, then ones you have your X were going to come through and kind to do another X or a plus sign depending on what way your looking at here and there we go, it will take a minute.
One and two, so ones you have your little asterisk all laid out them were going to go in with the webbing. And don’t worry about little smudges that you might have. Because you know, in nature, spiders don’t make perfect webs and neither do I. So we are just going to go around and kind of dipping down, you're just kind of connecting all this parts. And then ones you do that layer, then you go around and start the second layer and you’re just kind of dipping all the way around.
And just keep going and folding it out. Then these take at up 24 hours to dry completely. And then you just want to put it, you know and kind of unexpected place, maybe right when you walk into your house. Put it somewhere, where you know, you can turn the light on because glow in the dark ones they need a little light to get charged.
But then you can hit the light, so when people walk in the first thing they’ll see is your glow in the dark spider web. All right I’ve got one more idea for you, talk about an instant costume with a little bit of window paint and a few mirrors in your house. You can give yourself a hairdo from a pompadour to a beehive.
I wonder if blonds really do have more fun. So get a new hairdo without taking a trip to the beauty parlor is actually a lot easier than you might think. If you some handy tools around like, mirror in glass paint.
Now they come with different thicknesses. I have these one that’s kind of got a thick tip and then I have this kind, see that’s got a thinner tip on it, so if you want the tail. Now this kind comes in lots and lots of colors but in order to clean this off your mirror you're going to have get a straight razor out.
Now I’m a little lazy for that and I like to be able to just use the mirror cleaner and some water to get it off, so I’m going to go with this one. Find the mirrors in you’re house and you just want to kind outline your own head. Use your head as the gage. Give it a nice little flip, come back, maybe give it apart and then just color it in.
Let’s see how that is, I don’t look too bad as a blond if you're asking me. These three tips are exactly what you need to leave your guest either shivering with fear or perhaps laughing. Either way it’s going to be sure to set your hunted house apart from the rest.
