A home made snowman can make a great gift or a great ornament for your Christmas tree. Hi! I am Rebecca Britney and welcome to watchmojo.com. Today I will be showing you how to make your very own Frosty the Snowman.
So, the items that we are going to need for this craft are two Styrofoam balls one of it bigger and one of it smaller to from the snowman’s body, some toothpicks, a white sock, plaid fabric, orange pipe cleaner, black fabric paint, pins, hot glue or tacky glue if you want to work with kids, twigs, some buttons, red baby sock and finally whatever decorations you like. Here we got some spoons that we use as shovels.
So now, I am going to use the toothpick to attach the two Styrofoam balls together to make sure they do not shift. Now, we are covering the Styrofoam balls inside our old sock. Cut the excess of and pin it in. Now, I am going to cut the scarf out of our plaid fabric. And now, I am just cutting some fringe on the scarf for Snowman. Now, I am just gluing the ends of the scarf down so they do not stick out. So, now I am fashioning a hat out of our baby sock by just folding the brim up like this. Now, we will have to pin it in place as well just to make sure it does not move. So now, we are going to make a nose for a snowman. We are taking a tiny piece of orange pipe cleaner. Fold it in half and I find it easier to poke a hole in the snowman’s face before we insert the pipe cleaner.
Next is the step that I always find kind of brings the snowman to life. We are going to use some black fabric paint to give him a face. Now, our snowman needs some arms so we got him some twigs from outside and again like with the nose we need to poke the holes ahead of time to make it easier. And just to secure them, put some glue in the holes before the twigs go in. Now, we have to finish decorating. So, what I have got here is a couple of buttons, and a pompom and a shovel for our snowman.
