How to Make a Mola Part 3
Choose a somewhat simple design as the subject of your Mola. Sketch it on to your sketch paper.
Begin adding horizontal and vertical designs making sure they are thick and touch the border.
Leave about a quarter of an inch of space around your subject.
Pick out a bright color scheme and transfer your sketch using transfer paper.
Using an Exacto knife, cut out your design from the paper.
Once finished, choose a background color. Glue the top layer onto the sheet with spray adhesive.
Cut out your designs again from the second layer to give your Mola two border colors.
Pick other colors to cut out and glue behind different areas of your design. If you like you can cut some designs into areas of your subject with your Exacto knife.
Continue to put solid colors behind any area you cut out. Continue until you are satisfied with the look of your Mola. Enjoy.
