How to Make a Natural Scalp Remedy

Hi! It's Mia from dryitchyscalpremedies.com. I am going to show you how to make a natural scalp remedy. The first thing you are going to need to make the remedy is a 250 ml or 8 ounce spray bottle, three quarters filled with purified or distilled water. The next thing we are going to add is neem oil. You are going to add about a teaspoon of neem oil. If you don't have neem oil, you can use nut oil, such as coconut oil, as long as it's unrefined and unprocessed. You can use wheat germ, which is very good -- very moisturizing to your scalp in here, or you can use sweet almond oil, as you can see in the photo there. The next thing is melaleuca oil or tea tree. You can add six drops of this oil to the bottle. It's very antiseptic and antibacterial. Next thing is lavender oil. You can add between 10 and 15 drops of this, depending on how strong you want the scent to be. It's very anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Lastly, we are going to add rosemary oil. This is another oil that's very soothing to the scalp and repairs, and it's also antibacterial. We are going to add around about six drops of rosemary oil to the bottle. Then you are just going to put the lid back on and give the bottle a good shake. You can leave it in the freeze to cool down, if you want soothing spirits on your scalp, or you can just leave it at room temperature. Either way, shake before you use it, and you are going to apply this once or twice a day, as you will see in the next video. Now for step two. I am going to start applying the remedy at the itchiest, most irritated area of the scalp, commonly the back of the head, as you can see here. I am going to apply the remedy to the roots, and then give it a bit of a rub, rubbing it in. Now I am going to work my way around the head, applying to the roots, all over the scalp. You can do as I am doing and just apply it to the roots once or twice a day, or alternatively, you can actually use the remedy as a treatment for your hair as well. But if you are off to work and you want to retain your hairstyle, then you can just apply it to the roots, as I am doing here. An extra refreshing trick is to leave the remedy bottle in the fridge and apply it directly to your scalp for a soothing boost. That's it. Remember to use only pure essential oils that haven't been synthetically manufactured or fragranced.
