It all started, one rainy October day.
(Music Playing)
I went to the mailbox, like I would do on any other day. I have this very odd piece of mail waiting for me.
(Carrine reads the letter)
Dearest Corrine:
It was too late to vote on the polls but it would be great if you would make a pirate costume for girls.
The ones in the stores are way to expensive and it would be really cool to have a costume that no one else has
Sincerely,
It’s a Sex Annie
With not a moment to loose. I made a mad dash to the goodwill.
Arr! And this is me here.
(Music Playing)
With me first piece of treasure, this old leather pants. I started by ripping them apart at the end sins.
(Demonstration)
Then, I cut off the zipper and top in and pin the two legs together.
(Demonstration)
Next, I drew a circle that was the same circumference as my head.
(Demonstration)
From the middle point of the circle, I measured out a foot and drew another circle around the first one.
(Demonstration)
No worries if it is not perfect.
(Demonstration)
Using my handy-dandy rotary cutter. I cut out the big circle,
(Demonstration)
Then, cut off the smaller circle.
(Demonstration)
Next, I took out some dental floss because it is waxed and leather needles because they are sharp
(Demonstration)
And sewed the two pieces together.
(Demonstration)
Then, I took my donut shaped, place it around the bowl and set it aside.
(Demonstration)
Next, I cut out the band with my same head measurements that was about two and half inches wide.
(Demonstration)
I sewed it together to make a ring and attached the smaller circle I cut out before to the top of the band to form the head piece.
(Demonstration)
Then I placed them on top of the donut and sewed them together.
(Demonstration)
Next, I cut down the donut shape a little and took time to shape it.
(Demonstration)
I started with rolling up the back then pin up the two side.
(Demonstration)
Once I was sure it was how I wanted it. I sewed it another spots where I had pins.
(Demonstration)
And I had me a pirate hat.
(Commercial Playing)
With some of the left over leather. I placed it around my midsection to get an idea of how long it should be.
(Demonstration)
Then I cut it down the size.
(Demonstration)
Next, I folded the two opposite sides in about one and half inches.
(Demonstration)
Into two parallel shims that were about and inch apart from each other. I cut four hole down both sides in between the parallel shims for a total of eight holes.
(Demonstration)
Then, I cut off a long piece of ribbon,
(Demonstration)
And laced up me corset.
(Demonstration)
Now, with the colored shirt on me body form. I draw a line around the top of the shirt length, so.
(Demonstration)
Next, I cut along the lines. So, it looked like this and cut the bottom part of the sleeves off.
(Demonstration)
Then, I folded the top edge in about two inches and pinned.
(Demonstration)
To create a casing.
(Demonstration)
I sewed along the pin line and cut two holes on the middle of the casing on both shoulders.
(Demonstration)
Next, I took along piece of ribbon, attach it to safety pin and threaded in one hole
(Demonstration)
and one shoulder, through to a hole in the opposite shoulder.
(Demonstration)
Then I repeated with another ribbon in the back two holes.
(Demonstration)
I put on the body form and tied the two sides of the ribbon into pretty boost.
(Demonstration)
Then sewed up the sleeves on bunchy like.
(Demonstration)
For your completed pirate look.
You want some knee high boots,
(Demonstration)
a pair of fish net tights, an old skirt, some random pirate jewelry, and a bandana.
(Demonstration)
Do not forget your weapon!
(Demonstration)
Arr! Bloated scalawag. Walk the plane.
(Music Playing)
