To make a purple and black color necklace, you will need seven large beads, 8medium sized beads, 20 small beads, one jump ring, two crimp beads, one lobster claw clasp and about 30 inches of beading wire, this is 24 gauge.
The tools we’ll need for this project are the chain nose pliers, clippers, flat nose pliers, round nose pliers and crimp nose pliers.
To begin, stretch out you wire from the spool to make sure that it’s nice and straight as you can get it. You will just start by threading on our beads. The order; it’s black, purple, black.
By putting on my last black bead, now I am going put on ten of my small grey beads. Okay, I am putting on my tenth bead and now I need to thread on a crimp bead; very small. Perfect.
Now that I have my crimp bead on, I’m going to sniff the wire about a half of an inch above the crimp bead. With my flat nose pliers, I am going to take the end of the wire, just put it about a quarter of an inch in the other side of the wires. Bend it completely around to get sort of the square shaped loop. Then I’m going to grab the loop with my round nose pliers. I’ll smash it to make sure it can grab it properly. And now I am going to smash the two bits of wire together with my flat nose pliers. Perfect.
Now I am going to slide my crimp bead up and over the two ends that are now pushed together. Okay, with my crimp nose pliers, I am going to crimp the bead—the crimp bead onto the two ends of wire. Just smash it down, smash hard to make sure it doesn’t move but not so hard that you break the crimp bead. Perfect.
Now I have my crimp bead smashed on to the wire. Now I am going to make sure all my beads are down to the very end and begin to thrown on the last ten of my small beads. Okay, now that I’m putting on my last small bead, I am going to thread another crimp bead onto the end. Now I have my crimp bead on. Again, I am going to sniff the end of my wire but this time, I am not going to leave a half of an inch. Make sure all my beads are tight. I’m not going to leave a half an inch, I’m going to leave just about a quarter of an inch. Okay, just like that. Make sure all your wires beads stay on. I get them and I take my flat nose pliers, grab it at the end, this time it’s not going to be much wire extending paths flat nose pliers. Want to bend it around, perfect.
Now, you’ll be fighting your beads to make sure that they stay down at the other end to make sure you can slide your current bead up and over. You may have to manage that.
Now I am going to grab the end of my wire with my chain nose pliers and I’m going to take my crimp nose pliers. Make sure the crimp bead is in place and up and over the two ends with my crimp nose pliers, I am going to the crimp the bead.
Again, push hard but not hard enough to actually break the bead. You don’t want it sliding and you don’t want the wire to be able to come out while you’re wearing it. Perfect.
I have my two ends nearly complete. Now I’m just going to attach my lobster claw clasp with the jump ring. One end is smaller than the other, I did that on purpose. We’re going to attach the jump ring in the clasp to the smaller end with the jump ring. The larger the loop on the end of the bracelet is going be the loop of the lobster clasp attaches to when you’re wearing it, okay. So we’ll just close the jump ring. Get out of the way here, just close jump ring and now your lobster clasp can attach to the other end of your—Now we’ve completed the purple and black color necklace.
