Welcome to Common Man Cocktails, I’m your host Derrick Schommer. And today, we’re going to create the Scooby Snack. This comes from Ike as I submitted recipe along with a couple of other people who have mentioned it saying, “Oh! Can you find a recipe for the Scooby snack?” The trick is there’s a ton of recipes for the Scooby Snack, there’s at least five. That’s like a ton, five? It’s like five tons.
I’m going to go with the most classic that I could find because it has a smaller number of ingredients, good for the wallet and it’s got whip cream. It doesn’t work. The whip cream with the button. This stuff is awesome. A little pineapple juice, Malibu, Baileys, Midori. Midori is big this week and last week. And I don’t know, we’re doing all kinds of Midori drinks.
Half ounce of all these stuff, shake it, strain it into a rocks glass. We’re going to keep it small. We’re going to throw up some whip cream on the top. We’re going to roll up. Alright. Where’s my measuring staff? There we go, so we’ll do, half ounce, half ounce, half ounce, this is our Malibu coconut rum, there you go. Half ounce pineapple juice, half ounce. We’ll cap this off so we don’t spill it. That would be alcohol abuse. Midori, half ounce. Something’s shaking over here. It’s driving me nuts. Baileys with a stuck cap, half ounce. Now this is why you need to have whip cream because anytime you use Baileys, you got to have like whip cream or coffee.
Baileys, coffee, a little whip cream on top, come on that’s like the best drink ever, well, for hot coffee drinks. Look at that conjoining. It’s awesome. Put some ice in there, drop shake on, shake it up.
How’s your headphones? Shaking up real good. Pour some ice in here, we got a tiny rock glass so really the ice takes up a lot. So what you can really do is make a couple of drinks out of this. You know, if you want to—especially if you have people over and you want to spread the wealth and you don’t have too much alcohol, give them a smaller glass with lots of ice. I mean, Burger King does it, Taco Bell does, you could do it at home too.
If they served alcohol. But alas, no. They do it with just soda. There you go. That is—It kind of looks like a white Russian, right? A banana like if it’s been mashed down. It looks like banana bread before you actually make the banana bread. Drop a little whip cream in there, that is a Scooby snack right there, totally.
Smells like pineapple and whip cream. Kind of tasty. Well first of, anything with Midori is usually automatically tasty. Baileys, not much different. You get the creaminess and coconut. You can’t go wrong with coconut. There’s nothing really in this drink. Standing alone, I can sip all of these. Definitely, I can sip this if I want to. And this, oh, that is like a chaser.
So there you go. Definitely a tasty little beverage. You could try the different recipes, start with this one, experiment, maybe you can make Scooby Snack #6. That’d be pretty cool.
I’m your host Derrick Schommer, check us out on EverydayDrinkers.tv. Leave us some comments. The comments have been a little low. I think people are on vacation and doing stuff that’s probably fun. But you know, making cocktail is fun. So leave us comments. Tell us where you went on vacation.
I’m your Host Derrick Schommer and we’re teaching you how to drink.
