How to Make a Shirt out of a One Dollar Bill

Hello! This is Lisa Shea and we are folding a money origami shirt. Start by folding the top, down, just past the seal that you see on the front of the dollar bill. Turn the dollar bill side ways and fold the left side over lengthwise to meet the right side of the dollar bill and give it a good sharp crease. Now unfold that part and fold the left side into the center line that you just created with your crease and crease this new fold that you are making, making sure it is nice and straight. And then on the other side fold that into the center line that you have and give that a nice tips. This works with bills other than the dollar bill of course but dollar bills are good for tips. Next, we are going to do the sleeves. Fold the top left side out diagonally and depart that sticks beyond the side of the dollar bill is going to be the little shirt sleeves, that is the top of the shirt part. So flatten this down on the other side with the white border is, you want to fold the white border underneath so right where the white area meets the green area. Fold that underneath and give that a sharp crease. Now, we are going to make the collar. So you are going to fold the corner point towards the center line. You do not want to quite to meet the center and you do not want it to be quite at a 45 degree angle cause this is going to end up looking like the neck of the collar of the shirt and do the same thing on the other side, you want it to be sort of symmetrical looking so that it looks like a shirt collar. Now, we are going to fold the bottom up and slide it just underneath the little collar tabs so that it looks like a shirt that has a nice circular ring down around the neck area. And you want to crease this and then sit it under a book for probably a day to keep it nice and flat and you are all set.
