Hi. I’m Sandy with Afloral. And in our Gerbera Collection, I’d like to show you how to make a single flower corsage. What I’m going to do is start by cutting this flower stem off. There’s no use having that on there because it will make it difficult to work with. If you cut it short to begin with, you’ll make your process much easier. After I’ve cut it off, then I will use some floral tape. I used the light green on Gerbera Daisies because their stems are a light green. This will make your flower look realistic and natural.
After we’ve taped the stem, we’ll add a little piece of ivy, you can use any kind of greenery. It doesn’t have to be ivy, it could be fern, it could be anything. We’ll tape that on. I chose ivy because that’s what I’m using in this collection. And then, a nice ivory color of satin and sheer bow underneath. I like to add the bows for women because it’s a little bit more elegant and also, the bow hides all of your workings. It makes it look like a finished beautiful corsage. You can also use your ribbon to add color if you need to add another color to your corsage. Maybe you’ll make your corsage out of white flowers and you need to add some colored ribbon to match the theme of your wedding.
Tape your bow on. Cut any extra wires off, make sure that they’re covered. If you’re worried about the wires at the bottom and you’re having a hard time, then tape over it one extra time. Maybe your cutters didn’t cut very nice or it was just a little longer than it should have been. Just tape over that one more time to make sure it’s nice and smooth. And in a matter of minutes, you’ve got a beautiful corsage that you can pin on. What if you want to put it on your wrist? Let’s add a wristlet.
We have several kinds of wristlets at Afloral. We have bracelets, we call these the disco because they’re made of sequins, but this one is quite beautiful. It’s a little soft and a little iridescent and you can attach it. You have the wristlet part here and you can attach it by just tying these small ribbons around your corsage. So I would like to wrap it between the flower and the bow and then just tie in a know and it’s ready to go.
And after that, you can slip this right on your wrist for a beautiful wrist corsage.
