Learn How to make a Simple Gift Bow in these Easy Steps
For this gift bow you’re going to need some gift tie ribbon which you can get on full spool like
this and you will see different thicknesses. It is a little bit harder to find this thicker, this is three
quarter in inch but it does make a nice of bow, you can also use the thin ones. These suggest got
at the craft store it is usually with the gift baskets in such. And I also picked up this today at this
count store and this is just perfect look at 300 feet so definitely have funny. Now, I want to show
you how to do this, you will need scissor then we just roll that off to the side. What you want to
do is determine the approximate size to your bow, now I like to do with it at least you don’t want
to do it and at least the width of your four fingers on. You do any smaller; its can be really hard
to pull out.
So, we are going to go ahead and figure out approximate size and that is good. Now, all you want
to do is just winch this around just like you sees I’m just looping it around loop with the
surrounds at many times as you like. The more you do the fuller your bow will be, on the do it.
Usually between eight to twelve times because I like my base is really thick but you at least want
to do it six times around because that’s will give you twelve leaps. And now, let me see it. And
now I’m loss count unto are talking here and I just want to make sure you have enough. You
need--- if you want to make it bigger while you’re doing this you can just go ahead and pull it
bigger and adjust them but that looks good will go a one more time around.
Now when you have this back to where you started, just go ahead and cut this up this full done.
Now, for this you are going to need a really good pair scissor you want to make sure that is really
sharp earls this is not going to work. So look to see I do at about eight to ten, what you are going
to do with the circle is just push it together and make and an eight. Make sure all of this is
together, as you can see my ends are overlapping here. So I have middle and coming out here
and then it’s overlapping some rights smack in the center on all to be just perfect. Then, I’m
going to go ahead and fold this down, if you want to top the toppier eight down to the bottom
and then we’re going to pinch this together. Now again, make sure that it’s all line up and with
the very sharp pairs scissors I actually grab this kitchen shares. You are going to make two cuts
and I will show you up here, you just want to cut on an angle on the right side and then on the
left side. I’m right on this and I will put it over, you do not want to cut all the way through. So,
make sure--- I will just cut this and I will show you. Make sure that you cut it like that and that
you leave some room here. If you cut it all of it, the bow will just fall apart and you want to open
this up and this is what you should have and looks like this.
And now we are going to take art and choosing to use a pipe cleaner here and that can get it a
really nice. You could also use a fore wire or just regular craft wire and make sure you tie it
really tight in the side there. Now of course you don’t have to use a different color you could use
and done it with just one right in. This is also nice because done this will help me to put it on at
the adaptors. So, I so I have all you want to do this is really easy you are going take one for me
inside just pull it out you are going to turn it and then push it down. And you can see another one
and you’re going to turn it and put it in the opposite direction that’s all you want to do. So, aware
on you go, turn it and push it down, you could be a little rough with this. And then goes to
another one, these were going to turn the other way and it’s going to go up. Now, that’s all you
want to do just keep doing this with all of your layers. Crap on the inside and turn it, crap in the
inside and turn it.
Now the bigger---- the one that you make here leaves that easier will be the pull down away from
each other. These were kind to kind in tight cord here, and as you see our loops are forming
really nice plate now will just do the other side. Go right to the center, pulling out, turn it and put
it up. A little one out are in it, and down---- this one will turn it pull it to test and you just keep
rotating. Now, once you keep pulling out all the layers of your bow and twisting them this is
what you get. Now, you can go again and cut off this excess if you would like or you can use it
to attached to your gift and there is your completed bow.
