How to Make a Simple Easy Compost Bin

(Music Playing) Now, if you do not want to use livestock in your garden to fertilize your garden, you need something. You need some compose and this is a really easy way to do that. It is some galvanize wire, 4 feet high and 5 feet long and it naturally wants to go on a circle. And I fasten it together right here, And, we are just going to dump as many leaves that I have collected in here and allow them to compose. Now, we can also take this and we could put it in array’s bed so, if we were building our soil and we are trying to get that soil level up with rich organic composed matter, you can use one of these and just pile in all of the leaves. (Demo) Now, not only is this good for leaves, but, it is also good for any grass clippings. For about $20.00, you can have your own homemade compose bin. You can put it anywhere you needed to be. It is flexible. You can make a bigger one if you need it to be bigger. You can make one that is even taller. I like this height because I am able to actually reach in and put the leaves or grass clippings or anything I am going to add to this. Now, you want to make sure that you are only putting vegetable matter in here. Only organic matter, you do not want to put any bones or any sort of waste products or anything like that that you would eat. You want this to just be basically leaves and any grass clippings. You do not want any sort of rodents or anything coming in and forging in here. So, you just want to keep it with whatever you have outside in your lawn. So basically, all I have to do is just pile in the leaves on top of each other. Got a lot more than I can put in there and what I am going to do is just going to leave it there until spring. Then, I am just going to pop the wire off and I am going to have rich compose. Just spread out and fertilize my lawn. So, goodbye to all those petroleum based fertilizers.
