Speaker: This smoked salmon appetizer is a classic. It's elegant and gorgeous and enables your guests to assemble the flavors if they like them best.

Layout 8 ounces of Smoked Salmon on a plate or tray. With a very sharp knife thinly slice a lemon and arrange on the platter around the salmon. Next finely mince a red onion and plate. Now halve two hard boil eggs and remove the yolks. Run the whites through a coarse strainer, put it on to the platter. Now repeat with the yolks. Plate the capers and finish off with some cream cheese and cocktail-size rye and pumpernickel bread. Garnish with fresh herbs like dill and parsley.
