I have been wanting to make stir fry for basically all spring long and today is finally here. I can make stir fry. All of my Asian greens are ready to be harvested. I’ve got a bunch over here that I just picked and we’re going to make an amazing stir fry meal using ingredients fresh from the garden.
All right, I’m going to start chopping up my ingredients here. I’ve got the garlic, of course I’m using organic garlic. And I’m also using this organic shallots, I love shallots actually. It’s an alterative to onions and it’s just got a much spicier flavor to it. I really like their color and I just find myself using it over and over again in my cuisine.
So, I’m going to just chop this up, not too thickly, not too finely, just regular size. Nothing fancy and I’ve got my garlic here. I’m just going to chop that up. Now, I like to use a lot of garlic in my food. I’m using organic garlic and sometimes it’s really hot so you want to test out the garlic especially if you’re buying organic garlic first and make sure it’s not too hot for your family. I’m going to add the garlic and shallots first.
This is a really quick meal. And guess what, it’s called stir fry because you stir it a lot. Oh, it’s doing amazing! It smells delicious! All right, my garlic is starting to brown so I’m going to put my main ingredients, the beef. This has been marinated in a spicy Asian marinade and it’s going to be great in this meal. Of course again, I like the hot stock. It smells so good!
I’m going to let that sit there for a second and cut up some more of these greens. Look at the color here, it’s so exciting! It’s so exciting! And you know what, I made this, I made this. All right, I think we’re good. All right, I’m going to try a little piece though before I declare this meat done. Here’s a little piece. Oh, it smells so good! It’s perfect! It’s fully cooked.
And now, it’s ready to get the other main ingredient. We are moments away from amazing fresh stir fry. I’m just adding them right on top. Unbelievable! I think we are good. I’m just stirring it up and I am going to pop it in my bowl. One fell out, that’s mine. Do you hear that crunch? It’s crunchy, it’s marinated, partially cooked. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum!
From seed to garden to plate, you know there’s nothing better than coming home after a hard day at work and having a meal using ingredients fresh from your garden. I’m Patti Moreno, the garden girl. Thanks for watching. It’s so good!
